Just curious, can a regular DSLR (i.e. Nikon D3500) with a long lens capture this comet now, or is a special set-up needed?

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) in the early hours of 3 October, captured through the C8 with an ASI294mc and additionally with a Nikon D5600 and a Tamron 70-200 at a focal length of 130 mm. The #comet was also nice to observe visually and will hopefully brighten significantly. #astrophotography

I'm trying to better emphasize storytelling in my photos, so for #52frames_time, I photographed my Mom looking through an old photo album. Edited to emphasize warm, late afternoon (literally and metaphorically) light and time passing, yet held — in hands, in photographs, in light.

The cliffs of Western Brook Pond, Gros Morne National Park, NFLD.
These are some of the oldest rocks on the island of Newfoundland, and are part of the Canadian Shield. They form a freshwater fjord right here in Canada!

From Perplexity: The Earth's mantle is not lava, but a thick layer of semi-molten rock that is mostly solid.
Magma is molten rock beneath the Earth's crust, if it erupts from a volcano, it is called lava.

Approach to the Tablelands, Gros Morne National Park, NFLD.
Here the rocks of the Earth's mantle are exposed. The yellowish rocks of the Tablelands are high in chromium and other heavy metals, and are toxic to most plants.

We were there for a week, and didn't have enough time to explore everything we wanted just in Gros Morne! It will take several trips to explore all the other areas of NF!
