Those of us who served in the military know that dogs were some of the best partners we could ever wish for, and many were real heroes. For Kristi Noem's CBP agents to be shooting a family dog in this way -- and then leaving the scene -- is disgusting.

Step 3. Pay troops on time

It's not rocket science. Trump and the GOP just do not want to do it. So troops likely won't get paid on time - if at all.

About 30% of Federal workers are veterans. Rather than help people pay for their health insurance, Republicans and Donald Trump shut down the government and went on a firing spree that especially hurts those who served.

The Congressional GOP and Donald Trump are anti-veteran.

Wow. Just crazy that the guy plunging us into #ForeverWar with Venezuela, angling to return troops to Afghanistan, sending Guard from one state into another to intimidate them, and renaming it the Department of War didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize.

In a stunning development, the Trump administration admits in court that it has moved California National Guard members into Chicago, which to this point has been done in secret. To be clear, there is no security reason to have withheld this information from the American people.

It sounds like Trump is trying to order the National Guard to "protect" a Federal courthouse, and the Chief Judge there is telling everyone that they do not need or want the Guard there. This is no way to run a military, or a country.
