moving & fundraiser UPDATE! 🚚

TLDR: our move has been delayed and now we're living in a cramped one-bedroom for up to an extra month. all fundraised money will be put aside to go toward rent & deposits when needed, so all additional help is appreciated! 💛

So... there's been a hiccup with our move. Despite the property manager telling us our new unit would be ready to transfer August 1st and that we would sign the lease this week, yesterday (Monday) they emailed with the unfortunate news that the unit won't be ready for us as there's some issues that required a contractor to assess and they need time to fix it up.

Meaning, we may have to wait up to another entire month to transfer to the two-bedroom. Red drove up with some of his stuff on Sunday, as we were all prepared to move this weekend, so now all three of us need to stay in our one-bedroom for an extended period... He'll be sleeping on the couch, and we'll make do with the situation, cause luckily our finances are pretty much handled and we can cover rent for the extra month, plus he starts his job here in a couple weeks. Paying for utilities and groceries for three people will be a bit of a strain regardless, but it's more an inconvenience than anything as we already packed some stuff up and need to stay in a cramped living situation for a while.

That being said, the GoFundMe will be updated with this info as well and will remain open for donations until we're able to actually move. All that's fundraised for the move will remain untouched so it'll be used as initially intended, for the rent and deposits on the two bedroom. I'll be returning to my regular work schedule for the time being and will continuing prioritizing commission work. I sadly had packed up all my merch and shop stuff before receiving the news, but I'll unpack what's needed so I can keep my shop open for August - I just may be slow to getting orders packed and sent out for a bit, as all this has been a bit of a headache and I'm dealing with consistent small flare-ups of fatigue.

Thank you to everyone who's helped so far! Whether it be by sharing, donating, commissioning, or buying from my shops. It all really does help and I'm putting aside as much as possible for savings. It's truly thanks to your support that we were able to get a financially secure place and move in together, and any additional help will take a lot of stress off of us.
