perhaps one can consider asking to what degree these standards are upheld in that distant promising clinic. I have been a patient and I know first hand how vulnerable and scared it makes you feel.

Of course, it's understandable that people want to find therapies that might not be available in their home country or region. But before packing a bag because of a nice website and appealing brochure,

For patients or those with loved ones considering a clinic, perhaps one on a distant shore because that seems a hopeful option, they can consider leafing leaf through. They can take in the degree of dedicated care and skill the pre-clinical work and the steps of preparing such therapies entail.

Sure! The Suicide Squad was the nickname given to the core founders of JPL.

They got the name because of some of their more... explosive adventures on campus, as they were trying to figure out rocketry.

Hello! Hi! I have book news!I first learned about H.S. Tsien when researching my thesis at @johnshopkinsu. It was during the height of COVID and the rise of anti-Asian hate, and I was just really struck by this idea that this Chinese scientist who had contributed so much to American science, had essentially disappeared from history, and a lot of it was because of how the U.S. government had treated him. I can’t thank @mollykh_tba enough for advocating for me and this book. And I feel over the moon that it’s found a home with @bloomsburychildrens, because @ericabrookeb and Cristina were my first introduction to publishing! And finally: thank you to @marthabee who first recommended this be a MG format, and @lryan_storms and Kate Gilbert who read the first proposal.

The entire HR department at the CDC is gone. Everyone at the IRB, which makes sure studies are conducted ethically and rigorously, and the ethics office, which oversee conflicts of interest for CDC leaders and advisory committee members, were also let go.
