Benjamin Franklin’s 1761 invention, the glass harmonica, produced a sound so ethereal and otherworldly that some claimed it “excessively stimulates the nerves, plunges the player into a nagging depression and hence into a dark and melancholy mood” leading to “slow self-annihilation”.

This arrived today by daemon post. I am much fascinated by the figure of Lucifer and fallen angels, though I’m very wary of the idea of pacts with spirits. Peter Grey is a well read, intelligent and provocative writer and I’m sure this beautiful tome will be both a challenging and informative read.

This arrived today- Hexen 5.0 Tarot by Suzanne Treister. I saw some of the original paintings at the Warburg Institute earlier this year and I’m please to pick up this ‘upgrade’ from her 2011 Hexen2.0 cult deck. Lovely artwork and provocative messaging. Jacob Boehme influence on the design.
