The opening aerial shots in 'The Sound Of Music' and 'Where Eagles Dare' are set in the same part of the world and are very similar. As the films develop however, the body count in the latter cinematic extravagance does significantly exceed the former. And Richard Burton doesn't sing anything.

Rewatching this excellent British detective series. Brilliant stuff but - disappointed that not a single episode ends with an apprehended villain turning to the camera, twirling a moustache and saying "Curses! Foyled again!"

I like a lot of her work but you have to be in the mood - she can be a bit dark. The autobio trilogy is a fascinating read. When we were in NZ in 2019 we visited her family home in Oamaru.

Tickets to Tronics gigs, 1970s. Ronnie Scott's added a 'K' to the spelling. When we were still the Gits we apparently played a benefit for Friends Of The Earth. That doesn't sound very punk. I think the Rock Garden gig was recorded.
