I think one of the best things you can do for yourself is trying playing games that might not be "good" but are "interesting".

There's a lot of stuff out there that doesn't follow the rules, doesn't fit into convention but by god does it just try stuff or stand out in their own weird way

When I was more social in this game, in many communities it always felt like Nergui was really popular for exactly two seconds until everyone realized he has pronouns, has emotions, is not a fantasy-colored White Guy, and is probably not going to fuck you.

Yeah my OC is nonbinary, native-coded, and mentally ill. A large swath of FFXIV players are bored, racist, homophobic, ablist, misogynist devil's advocates with no life. I don't need to answer this.

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy passed away today according to the House of GG. She was a veteran of the Stonewall rebellion and a lifelong organizer for the safety and dignity of trans people, sex workers, and the incarcerated. She came from the same generation and milieu as Marsha and Sylvia. She was 78.

That's insane. Is the UK really this bad? At least in the US we can find a bank that won't have an issue with us accepting payments for legal work, and there are some processors who will help.

At this rate the only option is cashing out a check or meeting to get a cash payment.

This is "debanking", and its a problem that has plagued sex workers for decades. It isnt right when its targetting sex workers and its not right when its targetting game devs and creators either.

Give paypros and your givt reps your grievances and demand that debanking of adult content stop

I develop adult video games on Steam. I can't find a bank that will actually let me withdraw my money from Steam. Can I get some advice?
Game has sold quite well on Steam. I've got almost £90,000 ready to withdraw after Steam's cut + VAT taken off.

However, it's been 2 months now and I can't find ANY bank in the UK who will let me withdraw my money from Steam.

I've been banned/refused/unable to get a business account with:

Wise
Revolut
Monzo
Monese
Chase
Starling
Nationwide
Halifax
Barclays
Lloyds
RBS

It always comes down to, "Where did you get this money from?"

"It's coming from games I sell on Steam."

"Can we see the store page?"

"Sure."

"I'm sorry, we can't do business with you at this time."

It keeps coming down to a commercial decision purely because I make adult content.

What the hell am I supposed to do? I've pretty much exhausted the whole banking system. I just want to be able to be paid for products I've sold.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again and again and again. ICE are probably involved in human trafficking. I think it's the whole idea behind all this. Catching people to sell to organized crime or use for prison labor. This is being done for some really fucked up people's profit.

I love how much Republicans talk about violent crime being an issue in 'colored people' neighborhoods and completely avoid admitting that violent crime occurs more in IMPOVERISHED communities and adress why that might be and instead treat the problem with more violence
