🏠 About our choice of charity: The PCRF is a longstanding nonprofit providing lifesaving aid to Palestinian children. Since our project focuses on homes, we thought it best to direct our proceeds towards those whose homes have been destroyed and themselves forcibly displaced.

Meet the Moderators!

Minh fell down a pit and into Sherlock Holmes after a fateful Victorian literature course at university. They’ve organized two zines and a handful of fandom fundraising projects since 2020. You can find them outside feeding pigeons, or on Tumblr and Bluesky.

Sher was afflicted with an intractable and most likely terminal case of Sherlockianism at 8 years old. When she’s not contemplating the best ways to deface the canon, she can be found prowling the aisles of craft stores, or else on Tumblr.

Very Sincerely Yours is a zine dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, Dr. John Watson, and the idea of home. Recall the seventeen steps of 221B Baker Street, the jack-knife in the mantelpiece, the shag-stuffed slipper—and an old friend sat across the hearth.

This project celebrates queer domesticity and the historical struggle of marginalized people to create homes of their own.

This zine will focus on Holmes and Watson from the original novels and short stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, but we encourage creative exploration of the characters and the nature of their enduring bond. This project will be rated T for potentially suggestive themes.

Beyond Baker Street: We hope to feature work that expands on the idea of home—what it means to each character, how they lose and long for home, what it takes to build and keep it. All time periods within the original canon are accepted!

This will be both a physically and digitally published book, at 8.5 x 11 inches with full color printing. The zine will be stylized after vintage magazines, featuring illustrations and original fiction pieces.

We are looking for around 30 to 40 writers and artists to contribute! This is a charity project—proceeds will be split equally between The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and compensation for our contributors.
