So if I tend to go silent on my socials, or only post sporadically? It just comes down to life. 2025 forced a lot of old relationships to die. And the old me had to die as well. I’m not the same person I was even 6-10 months ago, and I am so thankful for that too.

I’ve finally been able to break free from decades of bio family abuse. Sadly this is just what it takes to heal from people who are not good for you. Our chosen family imo is much better than something bound by “blood” and toxicity and abuse.

All die hard MAGA too so that should spell it out.

Aside from the physical changes, many of you might not even recognize my demeanor when we see each other at cons. I’m much calmer now. Still bubbly silly me, but decades of stress and internal work has led me to finally dumping tension I’ve held onto physically. It’s amazing.

So, a little bit of a life update from me and it’s all good! I am proud to say I have been melting fat and shredding pounds. So far I’ve lost 6-8 inches off of my waist, and with some luck I’ll be in Speedo shape again by next summer! 🔥

Is it not a testament to one’s strength to empathize but not repeat? Is it not power to show kindness when all you have been shown is pain and rejection? To be unlike your enemy?

It shocks me to no end to see people outside the fandom and us. You just gotta experience the goodness of others to see

One thing I’ve come to know about the furry fandom: many of us come from broken families. Difficult non accepting families. Even abusive ones. What strikes me though, is just how people show up despite the hurts & pains inflicted upon us. Despite the hurt, we build, we care, we’re still HERE. #furry

Maybe it’s my neurodivergence, but has anyone just worked through so much deep personal shit, and you come to a point where you are a whole new person but can’t say anything to anyone out of fear someone won’t understand?

It’s wild to me to wake up and feel totally different from the last 30+ yrs.

I find it so ironic and frankly sad that my generation and others are finally addressing mental health and trauma issues in our daily lives. It’s because, as the system cracks and Capitalism continues to show us materialism isn’t a silver bullet, people want meaning and purpose in a greedy system.
