oh also the beginning of the game you can just clean an partment for like an hour if you want. there are that many items to interact with, the physics engine is unironically one of my favorite parts on a pure software level LOL

- there's a safe mode that makes hostile creatures non-lethal (amongst other thing), and it doesn't take away from the game experience at all.
it still holds up ten years later. my friends with zero stomach for horror like this game. you play soma now ok 🌄🌄

obligatory shill spiel: soma is a psychological survival horror set under the atlantic ocean. the writing and the existential questions it brings up have stuck with me for years, and the gameplay / sound design is so intentional and incredibly immersive. seriously one of my favorite games ever. -

I have the same nitpick with this game as I do with needy streamer overload though, I wish they pushed the art style contrast a little harder. the background art in yunyun syndrome emulates this a little more but god itd be fun to have weird greasy shut in girl x perfect pretty mascot character

tactile and visually overstimulating in a good way, core gameplay nothing to write home about but I don't play a lot of 4k games beyond noisz starlivht so I don't have a huge frame of reference. may pick this up when the full game comes out even if it's just bc it's the needy streamer devs

my ancient discount neon green razer headset finally ate shit (volume adjuster built into wire died) & ended up picking up a pair of sennheiser headphones from 2004ish and they sound just as good and are at least a pound lighter lol. why was i dealing with that for five years
