thank you everyone for the kind words and well wishes. he’s been showing small signs of improvements since his surgery, but it’s going to be a slow and gradual process. we’re anticipating that he’s gonna be on the ECMO machine through the end of the month, but we’re remaining hopeful 💙

if you could all please keep my family in your thoughts - i just found out my 4 year old nephew is in pediatric ICU attached to an ECMO machine. he had walking pneumonia which turned into myocarditis and we have no idea how long he’s going to need to be there. it could be a few days or a few weeks.

update: they had to perform surgery on his heart this morning. it went very well alhamdulillah, but they need to keep him sedated and monitor him until his blood pressure goes down. hoping for more good news 🙏🏾
