Never underestimate the worldbuilding power of things like:

• Demi-planes
• Pocket Dimensions
• Etc

They give you a chance to get really weird with stuff.

And to do so without completely breaking the accepted norms.

Entire towns were destroyed. And winter is coming fast.

I'm not alone in my weirdness!!!

In the longest campaign I've ever ran, there was a beloved shifter NPC.

Long story short, he fervently claimed werepoodles didn't exist.

Later, one was introduced...

I just saw a clip from "100% Wolf," in which the werewolf kid turns out to be a werepoodle! #DnD

There's a small Gnoll variant I use sometimes. I call them Yaplings.

I start with regular Gnoll stats, but then:

• Change their size to small.
• Swap Rampage for Pack Tactics.
• Give them proficiency in stealth.

Like chihuahuas. They're a lot of fun in little packages.
