Perversely cheering to re-encounter the "Index to Tears" compiled for an 1886 edition of Henry Mackenzie's #18thc novel _The Man of Feeling_. (It's reprinted in the modern Oxford edition.)
47 entries for a novel of 98 pages.
I like the parenthetical annotation "Choking, &c, not counted".
Wondering if there's a blacklist or bulletin board for warnings of bad and unethical clients. I've just had a ridiculous experience with a museum's editor, who seemed to see indexing as some sort of literary maid service.

Véronique Gens as Niobe in the Royal Opera's production of Agostino Steffani's "Niobe, Regina Di Tebe"- BOTD
That begs for podficcing.
Tried to treat myself today, but most food makes me sick to look at or smell. I still tolerate lemon water, rice cooked in chicken broth, and little oranges. Green beans are the only acceptable veg this week, though I think escarole or chard might be OK, if I could get them. With white beans.

"Pope Francis skipped the Vatican’s official meeting with Vice President JD Vance Saturday, instead having his No. 2 give the vice president a lecture on compassion, according to a Vatican statement."
Pope Sends Deputy to Lecture Vance on Compassion at Vatican
Vance had an “an exchange of opinions” with Cardinal Pietro Parolin that touched on migration, the Vatican said.

Curtain rises on everything you most desire: banquet, wine, music, books, a globe, the world. All brought together in 1640 by Jan Davidsz de Heem, whose day is today.
I didn't realize until last night, when a friend mentioned it in a text, that this Sunday is Easter. Work.
At least I don't have time to feel sad/guilty about doing no Easter baking this year. Buying myself a chocolate bunny would be nice, if I can do it via insta-cart.

Today I learned that Peter Weller - the guy that played Robocop - was so humiliated by Dario Argento's Director of Photography, while talking about art, that he subsequently went and got a PhD in Art History, and now just published a book on Alberti with Cambridge University Press.
