A research team at St. Michael’s found that Kupffer cells (white blood cells in the liver) are needed for regulating the hormone that controls platelet production. It’s a step forward for patients with low platelet count, such as patients with #leukemia or #autoimmune diseases. bit.ly/4mLPdXD
