Making the most of whatever you have is probably the best way. Though an interesting past always helps you love the present.

Its just life. He was born this way, and to change that now would be to change who he is. He's 8 now, so cute and gentle

Im in a similar place.

Always been very empathetic towards others. But since my son was born (with complex medical needs), I've had to reduce hours to care for him.

His life is reliant on a functioning society. Which people like Farage will smoother.

Agreed... it all goes back to money.

The rich taking unbelievably vast amounts of it. Then, complaining when asked to contribute their fair share back.

And some of us are so blinded by the media misinformation we think 'yeah that sound's reasonable, they earnt it'.

The wealthy really dont care. Thats the problem.

The wealthy will never see any of the poverty. And any media who are 'paid for' will willingly play their part for cash.

Not everyone wants a better society. Some have a more 'F U, got mine'...

Which is sad but just how it is.

Agreed.... not just misinformation, but a billionaire class who is investing heavily in keeping the public as misinformed as possible.

So many right wing 'think tanks' and influencer... and the mainstream media.

We can all see how the media will rip apart any left wing power, taking small issues and blowing them up to such an extent that for many, it changes reality.

Whereas the right coast through a supportive media landscape just waiting to give them head pats and belly rubs.

This might not be relevant because my experiences are all with Children's services.

But hospital transport is a thing. You can request it if you have no way home safely.

Sometimes its a bit of a wait before its available but its better than putting yourself in harms way.
