* Contribution to Knowledge & Understanding may rise to 55% weighting
* PCE element likely to see reduced weighting
* Impact case studies expected to return to 2021-style format
* A new 4★+ rating for outputs is under consideration

Big news for the REF today: @chrisjparr.bsky.social reveals that the People, Culture and Environment weighting is set to be scaled back.

The REF team is also considering a new ‘4-star plus’ rating to reflect the “increasing quality of research”.

Huge congratulations to our colleague Junjie Shen, winner of the University of Bath Staff Award for Outstanding Commitment to Sustainability! Junjie has led our Green Libraries initiative and developed a Power BI dashboard to track energy use by the Library —now being adopted by other departments.
