ugh. i’m feeling anxious! not great!
i love carlo rovelli’s books. so, so good. They’re getting nearly all of my stars
i like it when language is simple and reflective about deeper truths.
Here is one thing I consider important:

it's good if language points to the peaks of human understanding
New knowledge makes different parts of intellectual history salient.

For example, only now am I highly curious about Ernst Mach. I didn't know enough before to feel this curiosity.
so, e.g., if a "relational" understanding of physics turns out way better than viewing space as a big ol' container, then it would be good if this would seep through to plain language and philosophy too. In a meaningful way, not a pseudoscience way.
if we have better physical theories of our universe now than before, it would be good if our language restructures itself to make these new peaks as accessible as possible.

(Hint: when I say "i am dead serious." I mean the exact opposite.)
Okay, jokes aside, I wonder why we measure radians as 2 pi. It kind of makes sense: we do rotate by a curve of length 2 pi when we circumfere in a circle. But why not define one rotation as "1 rot"?
This is entirely consistent. We are just multiplying (rescaling) all numbers by 2pi!
Guys. I think we should have a redefinition.

2 pi = 1.

i am dead serious.
and, crucially, retrocausality
sad that "florals" has a positive connotation. can't use "florals" for flexible morals (in a bad way)
flethics: flexible ethics (in a bad way)
For later: Whitehead, process philosophy, categorical quantum mechanics, quantum calculus. ☺️
need to reflect on it more :)
∣Ψ⟩ ∈ H_{phys} ⊂Cyl^∗, with origin in H_{AL}?
woah!!! OAM entanglement is like the coolest fact about entanglement I learned in a long time!!!

two humble photons can be entangled in oh-so-many ways!!!!
wait what??? i'm reading the wikipedia article now, and something really seems to be very weird here??? there might be an X17 particle??? why does no one bother to tell me such essential facts????
Something's up with beryllium-8 decay?
I find it plausible that there really exist things even darker than dark matter. Dark forces, dark particles, dark radiation, dark fields.....
i love the periodic table!
i'm (over)simplifying with the "people thought" part, but you get my gist.
I find this plausible.

1. There are galaxies that are outside our observable horizon! We will never even be able to know they exist!

2. Neutrinos are highly nontrivial. For a long time, people thought they were just a mathematical fiction!

3. Dark matter is nontrivial
