Q: do you see any resistance to those 'new' ACEs
A: SHJ-in terms of schools, some don't seem themselves as invalidating environments. But some are willing to open their doors. But the sensory element will likely be news to some.
Q: on working with local authorities
A: ES-some local authorities are not 'research ready'. But it's about building relationships and we all do want the same thing, even if priorities are different
..you are constantly mediating. So being structured is important and doing the preparation. Time constraints can be challenging.
Q: in terms of the arts work, what were the key challenges faced in delivery?
A: NS-across all the ABMs, making sure we prioritised the YPs' voices so group work is difficult as choices are made about what they contribute.
Our keynote speakers (AS SHJ, NS, ES) are back on the stage for questions.
Q: with the rise in right-wing immigration policies, what are your main fears?
A: AS-the impact that rhetoric has on *everyone*, not just those seeking asylum.
ReThink is looking at transitions - primary to secondary school and turning 18 - and looking this at a holistic way, exploring how different factors influence care-experienced young people's mental health. Once again, co-production is at its heart.
Currently Eva is working on ReThink showing that existing PTSD models *do* apply to children and young people, but the 'system' also impacts care-experienced young people (e.g. transitioning to being a 'tenant' after foster care).
