Normalized abuse is the only explanation that makes sense. If you look at CB sideways for his abuse, you also have to look at people in your own life who abuse sideways, and not everyone wants to do that (as evidenced by the fact that abusers almost always have friends & defenders).

If I was rich, I’d get a physical therapist so I could learn how to keep my wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles stable. If I was a robot, I’d just tighten these things up with a screwdriver or wrench or something. My joints are too loosey goosey.

Black Health Matters. It was the class that changed my perspective on everything. That was the class that taught me about the effects of what I perceived as regular, everyday laws on Black people’s health (for ex: drawing connections between zoning laws & asthma)

I had a meal plan, so: teriyaki stir fry bowl from Nao & Zen drizzled with sriracha, a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut, a grilled chicken pesto sandwich, or (if I had the extra swipes) shrimp tempura sushi

I worked 1-2 jobs at any given time and had a research internship. I was the definition of, “work hard, play hard.”

FUN! I was in a bunch of organizations, joined my sorority, went to hella parties, did different internships, took fun classes, held several leadership positions, performed on stage for different reasons, and really just had a blast.
