Whatever you think of the White House as a building or a symbol, the fact is that the image of it being torn apart on a whim two days after 7 million people hit the streets against autocracy is going to make a HUGE amount of people really, really angry, and that's an energy that should be harnessed.

I still don’t understand how he can make changes to a historical building so quickly. I can’t get permits to renovate a bathroom in my city in less than 6 months. This is The People’s House, it should be harder than this.

When this story broke earlier today Republicans claimed it was probably fake news since it was reported by the NYT. Now multiple media outlets have confirmed it, including Fox. Hegseth and Vance are complete morons for pulling this dumb stunt.
