tonight on Bluesky Live: hundreds of 38-year-old lawyers whose last baseball experience was putting up an .033/.033/.033 line at age 12 criticize a major leaguer for not allowing himself to be hit by pitch

This is only going to make Roberts trust Treinen more. Brewers are playing the long game.

God, stopping a runner from first at third on an automatic double when they clearly would have scored might be the dumbest rule in the sport

If I don't give a flying fuck about content moderation, why am I here instead of Gab or 8chan?

I regret the Dodgers had but two outs to give for their country

if your position is that human beings should be exposed to all the worst horrors of the internet when alternatives exist because AI Is Bad, your belief that AI Is Bad might as well have been inscribed on a tablet handed down from the summit of Mt. Sinai
tylerboschert.bsky.social
we all know that the most deranged AI boosters constitute a cult, but it's becoming increasingly clear that its most deranged critics constitute a cult, too

8-6-2, ending with the catcher getting a force-out at third base, very normal stuff

the Dodgers have, at last, lost the Mandate of Heaven

LMAO this is a preposterous sport

Could it be possible that the reason that the economy's general state of good health during the Biden years "didn't have much utility towards [Democrats'] electoral objectives" is that a bunch of "chatty ass" leftist wreckers convinced themselves the whole country was on the brink of starvation?

And see, that exact same game was infuriating to me because Mark Wegner was by far the most valuable person on the field for the Dodgers (he was worth 2/3 of a run to them in a game in which a total of three runs were scored).

if a given umpire's strike zone deviated from the rulebook *in a consistent way*, I might agree with you, but it well and truly blows when the same pitch is a ball in the third inning and a strike in the seventh inning

My one-step plan for solving the Southwest's looming water shortage is "charge almond and alfalfa farmers residential rates for their water."

I also find the Peggy Hill "Phoenix is a monument to man's arrogance" environmentalist argument really frustrating, because the reason Arizona is running out of water is that 70% of it goes to grow fucking alfalfa, but we do not have to resort to noble savage bullshit to make that case.
