Genuinely, I’m not sure I can claim to speak read and write English to A Level standard.

My mother once tried to teach me some Latin. She gave up because she said I didn’t understand English grammar enough.

Proper upset about #JillyCooper. My fav writer. I read all The Rutshire chronicles from start to finish every few years and they never tire. That’s because she brings a person alive on the page better than anyone

I am one of the most positive people I know of. I believe people are good. I truly believe there’s nothing funny about peace, love and understanding.

But these days my despair is way more regularly overwhelming than even I can easily cope with.

I am very much enjoying the TV show about the history of London. But the presenters aren’t allowed to stand still for a second. Walk and talk - even ride and talk - on steroids in this show. And for some reason the female presenter is only allowed to be filmed from underneath.

Can we all just be reminded that there were no recorded people coming to the UK on small boats before 2018

Tried watching The Dinner tonight. Had to give up as it’s all mumbling. There’s no subtitle so even with the sound on 40 (it’s normally about 12 on my TV) no chance

So fed up with mumbling these days on films. It’s not great acting. It’s just bloody infuriating

Today I’ve had to get 3 trains. As usual not one person has offered to help when it’s obvious I am really struggling to reach.
