Funny thing about life. The kindest person who has not harmed anyone will still have those who hate them, while the vilest person will always have their supporters. You can't make the world happy, so try to be a good person. And dance to the beat of your own drum

Nothing wrong with taking a step back to focus on yourself. Listen, take your time if you need to talk; you know the door is open.

All you can do sometimes is push forward. And hope for better days for everyone while enjoying the little moments

Talking about Sound Clashing. One of my fav moments was at Lspot with a Sound clash battle I and @melon.echos.fm had. It wasn't about who won or who lost, but keeping Sound Clash culture alive. (Even if personally I think melon cooked me alive 😂)

And again the word has evolved. To a lathe cut limited run ( 1-30 copies), but as time moves forward, so do words and culture. But keeping dubplate culture alive and non-toxic is important. Much like Sound System culture and Sound Clashes.

It's interesting how the word 'dubplate' has evolved. For most of us, it's known as an acetate cut one off. For others, if it isn't cut in Kingston by a select person at one spot, it isn't a true dub (People from the Windrush generation who brought sound system culture, etc to the UK would say this)

(This whole story isn't meant to mock or tarnish Robert Johnson legacy of what he did for blues. But to carry on the story so it can be passed on to others)

His music seemed perfect and spoke of deals and crossroads and a conflicted soul. Robert passed away mysteriously at 27 years old.

(Something to add here, this was the version of the story I was told as a young teenager. There are many variations of it, featuring different artists as well.)

Robert frowned as he had been poor, ignored, and overlooked all his life. "Deal," he said, shaking the stranger's hand. From then on, everything changed. Robert was able to pull crowds of people to him who hung from every note and word. People said he made a deal with the devil himself.

The stranger said "I can help with that " And tuned Roberts guitar, then played a melody that could make the soul quiver. The stranger passed back Roberts' guitar and said, "Now it's yours, you will play like no other. But it comes with a price. "When your time is done, your soul will belong to me."

Most people thought he had no talent for it. Until one random night, under a full moon, he met someone at the crossroads. He met a person in a sharp suit. The person asked, "Are you lost?" Robert replied, "No, just stuck. I want to play the blues better than anyone."

Since it's Halloween season, I thought I would bring up the old blues legend about Robert Johnson. He was brought up in rural Mississippi, but had a deep desire to become a great blues musician

I swear the cold weather hits the spot at times. I do wish we had more snow, etc, nowadays, but that's just me as a winter person.
