The choice not to use an algorithm was made from the start, to not utilise AI and make things as human centric as possible.
There's already plenty of sites that use algorithms, and it's encouraged to use multiple sites to post art, network, and show the world who you are :3

When you add a gallery block to your profile, you can choose the Display type to show 'My Artworks' or 'Artworks I have liked' :3

I hear that. I like to copy and paste images into my art program so I can colour pick, so no right click is a bit of a pain
I've got my workarounds though :3

I hope you find a gallery space you can enjoy ^^
Maybe you'll find sheezy more appealing after the rebuild is complete too

The idea behind that is to help against theft
Users can still right click their own images when signed in

But I know there are also discussions and plans being had about permissions, so that users can choose if their work can be right clicked (among other things)

There's subjectivity involved in some choices. The line between heavy gore and moderate gore can be pretty blurry, but there's still a difference between someone's leg being violently reversed, with bone poking through, and a character wearing entrails in a flesh room. That's just one answer though

That's a really cool character design
It's got a cartoon gore tag, which isn't automatically filtered. So people that don't want to see lungs and guts can comfortably filter it out, but most people can see the character, no problem

Some peeps are more squeamish than others, and that's ok :3

A little update. The site is safe from SQL injection :3
So this was little more than an annoyance. We're (Ry) is also going to look at including more measures, in the rebuild, to stop this nonsense in the future

As far as I'm aware, postybirb doesn't work with sheezy just yet.
There are plans, but they're more post-rebuild

Sheezy.Art is super anti-ai, so you won't find any of that slop over there. It also has user-page customisation, supports visual arts; literature; flash content, and has something called personas which are like built in alt-accounts
I'm biased, but I think it's a great place

Sheezy only has one developer, who's been working hard to unspaghettify the code, and add loads of new features at the same time.
The creator challenges, and community reach are handled by other staffers.
It's more of a two pronged approach rather than a one or the other :3
