In the recent TU Dublin Smarter Travel Survey- 82% said they want to use sustainable transport - there are many reasons why it's out of reach - but there is real potential to support up to 24% of our community to walk or bike to campus.👣🚲 Read more here:https://tinyurl.com/46m3p8xm

Key to motivating staff & students to travel to campus more sustainably is to show the potential rate of active travel. Distance is often used as an indicator for a potentially active trip- up to 3km is potentially a walkable commute & up to 10km a potential trip by bike.https://tinyurl.com/46m3p8xm

Is a more active commute possible?🚶‍♀️The Smarter Travel Survey shows 88% of students travel to campus sustainably (9% of students arriving on foot, 5% by bike & 76% using public transport) showing great potential for more active & sustainable travel!

🌱 This week, TU Dublin Sustainability had the pleasure of welcoming nearly 6,000 first-year students to campus, across 5 locations, with a mix of climate action activities and a thought-provoking Sustainability Presentation. 💬🌍It was brilliant to see so many students engage with us on the stands! 🙌
