Bits is done as a run of the mill thing and we don’t consider anyone abusing animals for it because it either happens unintentionally as far as seeing a domestic animal be— an animal, or is being done as part of a job.

I’d say intent matters.
If they’re doing as such for research for art without of course actually hurting an animal and the sources they use don’t involve an animal being exploited in that way then it’s just research. The same way seeing a male horse take a public piss or a vet feeling an animals /1
