Can absolutely recommend! Bought it not expecting to like it too much honestly. But it has quickly turned into one of my favourite games already. Great open world, customisable..everything and a great showcase for what the Switch 2 can already do this early in it's lifecycle!

I’m not sure I would say “well-animated” anything 😅. Every character has like 5 stiff animations. Everything feels so lifeless. The city. The human characters. Voices would go a long way to rectifying that I think.

I feel like that’s the problem… we hold them to such a low standard, that when a game is passable we’re happy with it. I also don’t need groundbreaking visuals, but this game feels.. flat?
Textures and stuff are good, but the style is blah and it would be nice for the city to feel more alive imo.

The library is so good! Everyone saying it’s bad but it’s definitely much better than OG Switch at the same time in its launch so I don’t get it.

I agree that we should definitely be holding game devs and publishers accountable for lazy efforts and broken software. No one wants that. Myself included. But I think the way it was reported was so unnecessarily over the top. Especially BECAUSE he knew it was an early playable build, is all.

Because footage has come out and we’ve all seen it’s fine? They acted like it was the second coming of Pokémon Scarlet / Violet at launch when really, that game WISHES it was even remotely close to looking and playing as “bad” as this does 🙄

I know it seems like I’m going in hard to defend a little indie studio like Ubi, who are also admittedly far from perfect. But this felt unnecessarily exaggerated and in my opinion just super irresponsible.

I feel like we want the Switch 2 to succeed, yet it feels more important for media outlets to have outlandish click bait articles these days. I don’t think anyone honestly expects absolute parity with multiplat releases and if anything, we’re very much used to the sacrifices and limits needed.
