Given the current environment, I am feeling the need to root for Canada here. Trump won’t invite Blue Jays or Dodgers to the White House. Good. if Blue Jays win, #PMCarney should throw massive celebration in Ottawa too, dwarfing any “Big Mac” White House celebrations by Trump of winning teams here.

Those facts make clear how despicable #SpeakerJohnson actions are right now. This is not consistent with his professed beliefs. His hypocrisy and unwillingness to put peoples’ needs over political obeisance to Trump may well cost lives. This is an unacceptable moral failure.
