Piano arranging tip for the day:

If you're torn between two ways of arranging a passage, go with whichever one is easier to play.

If the harder version isn't clearly superior for any artistic reason, then the only reason to stick to it would be that you want the arrangement to be difficult.

There seems to have been some kind of digital distribution error. It is indeed supposed to be the first track, and that's how it appears in print/the physical formats.
