New stations should be accessible for everyone, but according to the National Rail website, Blyth Bebside has no toilets, and no disabled parking spaces. It's not acceptable, and it will stop many of us from travelling.

Systems are only inclusive when shaped by the people who use them.

We are Disabled people asking others like us what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to change in concessions schemes.

So much of the conversation about cycling assumes two wheels and lycra. But it’s far broader. For many Disabled people, cycling is mobility. Trikes, recumbents, handcycles, e-bikes, tandems can be aids to freedom and independence.

In this clip, Wheels4Me loan recipient, Jeremy tells us how having access to cycling has helped him reconnect with his family & get back to doing things that were important to him.

Disabled people built the first Dial-a-Ride services, fought for accessible buses and founded Transport for All.

That same spirit drives #CTWeek25 celebrating community transport as More Than a Minibus.

Access, independence, connection - non-negotiable then, now, and always!
Blue textured background. Bold black text on yellow electrical tape reads "More than a minibus" and "We’re on board for CTWeek25! Celebrating Community Transport and its impact on our communities". Dynamic yellow arrows point to the text.

Bus Passes and Blue Badges should mean freedom but they’re failing Disabled people. We asked 1,000 Disabled people and 16 councils why.

Now MPs need to act.

Ask yours to back our recommendations to #UnlockTransport access for all.

Red textured background with a quote from Emma Vogelmann on yellow electrical tape. It reads "One of the most powerful things we can do is make sure our MPs know what matters to us. That's what Unlock Transport Access is about."

Some impairments aren’t visible, but they can still make travelling harder. That’s when Blue Badges and Disabled Bus Passes should be there to help.

On #WorldMentalHealthDay we're calling for a concessions system that includes everyone. Let's #UnlockTransportAccess together.
Red textured background with a quote on yellow electrical tape. It reads "It makes your anxious. And it just means that you're less likely to go out and do things that you might otherwise." The quote is from a survey participant and they are talking about Blue Badges and Disabled parking bays. Bold text reading #UnlockTransportAccess is on yellow tape underneath

It’s hard enough finding an available disabled bay as it is! It’s unacceptable to lose them to skips and other random street clutter.

Somehow I doubt this is displaying a blue badge... And been here over a week now. 🤔

We all rely on transport. To work, do the school run, access healthcare and education, see family and friends. But Disabled people are locked out by a concessions system not fit for purpose.

It’s time for change. Write to your MP: https://bit.ly/3VIx95C

A Blue Badge is more than a parking permit. It’s a lifeline for independence and can be life changing. But only 38% of eligible disabled people have one. Find out more: https://bit.ly/4pLFjb4

We'd love to hear your experiences. Use #UnlockTransportAccess to share your story.
