Do we think it would've happened regardless if Happosai was there or not? Unsure, we kind of recognize he's a symptom more than "the cause", like the panels and camera lingering on girls getting harassed by him join in at the end of the day, but it's no wonder so many fic writers just kill him off

I think part of the reason why people dislike Happosai so much is he's kind of the embodiment of the moment Ranma 1/2 goes from a little uncomfy on topics of sexual assault to slipping into a freefall of sexual assault just being a norm in the story, he shifts the overton window *bad*

I cannot recommend you enough to install the Wikipedia app on your devices and use it like you would any search engine. Nowadays they even have tabs so you can open many articles at once.

And, if you can, please donate to the foundation. It has survived the internet enshittification that way.

🎀If we mayso use ourselves as an example, we actually had severe critiques of the fairly popular trans book "Magica Riot", but worried that it would be rude to review it similar to a bigger published book. Since a lot of indies don't have the luxury those do. -

At the very least let Akane actually fight the love interests of this manga lol I wanna see her be Ukyo’s intro fight and need to adapt and realize the only way to win is to go a bit wild like Ranma. She needs to be actually rough and tomboyis I want bruises and dirt caked on her cheeks

How much better the series would be better if Akane, at ANY point, swallowed her pride and started training with Ranma/against Ranma like a rival, and got to actually have big battles with other characters. As is now she's stuck between an audience surrogate and completely stagnant female "protag"

(It'd also kinda help emphasize that the Jusenkyo curses are actually truly debilitating kneecaps to martial artists because Ryoga really would be handicapped compared to Ranma and Akane, but you know)
