I think the trailer is compelling!

A modern musical throwback to Technicolor musicals of the ‘40s and ‘50s based on a Tony-award winning 1992 Broadway musical, itself based on an Oscar-winning 1985 film, itself based on an acclaimed 1976 novel.

But I haven’t seen ads for it *anywhere*. 😭

After last night’s #TerrorTuesday screening of #Species, it makes perfect sense that I’d make tonight’s #WeirdWednesday a screening of the much-maligned #SpeciesII because it’s better than the original. Well, maybe not “better,” but gorier, sleazier and sexier. 💅

It’s unclear whether he believes it’s bad or if he just knows that most people hated it. To me, WTRC broke that hot streak he was on (I’m a big fan of both 47 METERS DOWN films and THE STRANGERS: PRET AT NIGHT).

WTRC is just missing his trademark energy for me. It’s so lifeless and dull.

Screening #Species for #TerrorTuesday tonight, in which the dumbest human beings ever written for the silver screen chase a sex alien around Los Angeles for nearly 2 hours. It’s a sleazy B-movie with an A-list cast (2 Oscar winners!) and a decent budget ($35 million). What’s not to like? 👽 🐍

Given what we know about it (i.e., that there are no human characters in it), I honestly don't see a problem with #PredatorBadlands getting a PG-13 rating. The MPA only cares if the blood & gore is red and from a human body. They don't give 2 shits about non-red blood from fictional creatures.

Welp, I watched #HellHouseLLCLineage and it's even worse than I feared. I'm a huge fan of this franchise (save for 3....and now 5), but this is a colossal misfire. What a shame.
