My favorite part of the sandwich-thrower trial so far when the CBP agent testified that the sandwich "exploded all over him."

This statement was immediately followed by the defense showing a photo of the intact, still completely wrapped sandwich on the pavement.

Trump's "solution" for every crisis (that he usually creates himself) is to try to cause as much pain as possible for as many people as possible, until everyone caves to his whims.

Until we, as Americans, start giving him the middle finger to these tactics, the pain will only get worse.

A fact which seems to be getting overlooked:

It's not just individuals who get hurt by the loss of ACA subsidies. Employers losing ACA tax credits will have to pass on a greater share of costs to employees.

So yeah, even if you have healthcare through your job, you likely will still get screwed.

IF they are loading it onto the current government SNAP cards, it won't do much good. They're shutting down the system that allows debits from them. This will prevent users from even accessing previously received benefits as well.

Repub cruelty knows no bounds.

If the Senate blows up the filibuster and reopens the government, how will this change anything that got us into this mess?

SNAP and ACA subsidies will still be reduced to almost nothing, and the pain for millions will continue.

Govt emps will get paid, but not much beyond that will be different.

SNAP funding ends tomorrow, November 1st, but apparently Trump doesn't think that will cause enough pain for the poor.

Yesterday, they shut down the system wherein people could use their SNAP cards to purchase food, such that folks couldn't access previously received benefits.

Unbelievable.

With the government shutdown, including SNAP being shutdown and millions losing healthcare, this would be a damn fine time for Christian churches to maybe start doing Christian things*.
