My favorite attention to detail was some of the relationship decision-making. It wasn't all about making the person you're assisting happy, but rather what action would have the best long-term effects.
The recent Robocop games are just excellent adaptations of Paul Verhoeven's utter madness and deserve every bit of praise they get.
He has not had a single unique thought or idea since he obtained the means to implement ideas.
There seems to be a concerted effort to deal entirely in quips and soundbites these days.

Complicated or nuanced breakdowns are given less attention than a snappy blame game on targets that conveniently allow said quipster to absolve themselves from any amount of care or interest.
If advertisers could just agree to use a standardized static banner like in the days of yore, they'd probably have fewer people running adblock all the time.

Just a small banner PNG, please, for the love of god.
I think that's true for any people who don't leave their little cloistered area for their entire life.

Getting out and seeing the world puts things into perspective and lets you see that other people aren't that different from you and that your hometown may not be the best place on earth.
I think the crux of the issue is, essentially, if your subject is on board with the picture/pose/composition.

Basically, agency (or the perception thereof) and consent determine the tone of a work, even if the subject is fictitious.

I think some of the problem is miniaturization - tech has gotten smaller, so everything ends up looking small and samey.
Gotta keep the rain off, after all.
Hm, tough call, but I think Witch takes first place here.
Jesus fucking christ. Those people are complete sociopaths.
"You should see the other guy!"
Isn't that just Deadly Premonition, to a degree?
Isn't that grossly reductionist and limits a person's scope of personal development and professional contribution entirely to their immediate surroundings?

A person can see parts of the universe they're unable to visit due to their indirect support to the sciences through taxes and such.
His job security depends on people being irrationally angry at poor people, minorities, and the ever-popular "other."

Is it any surprise he'd repeat comfortable prejudiced lies?
The doors feel like they've closed for anyone trying to get into a field - I don't know how else to describe it beyond what I've seen in the tech fields.
But now the prospect of Alakablamming Harry Potter in the face is embedded in my mind and remains incredibly appealing.
