More overworld progress this week! Got some new Dribble sprites done for this (although still need to add squash and stretch), along with a start on these panels for selecting levels. #screenshotsaturday

I've emerged from the depths of menu madness to find #ScreenshotSaturday already upon us? Aye, programming #Moonshell_Island tis cumbersome to bear. Good thing she's got an Inventory System~! 💪🎒

Thanks! Yeah, sprite is just temporary for now. I think I need to draw some new sprites for this new perspective.
Took a break from level stuff to start something new this week. I want to have a bit of an overworld map from which you can pick levels, so I started prototyping that this week. Still a lot of refining to do. #screenshotsaturday

Sure was crazy when we just dropped the Demon Tides demo like that... What's that? WE JUST LAUNCHED THE BUBSY 4D DEMO TOO?!

Live on Steam right now, go check out what we've been cooking up with the bobcat.
Finished this level this week! All decorated and filled with collectibles. Even got some fantastic music from one of our composers Jon. Happy with how this turned out.

Got the general level layout finished this week! Now just to add collectibles and some visual polish. For now, here's a little moment I enjoyed putting into the level. #screenshotsaturday

Heads up! I will likely be closing my commissions in a few weeks! I won't reopen for a looong time after they close, so if you want a sketch comm, better get 'em sooner rather than later.
Further level design progress this week. Getting fancy and fun with the geysers. Aiming to have the level finished by the end of the month, but we'll see how it goes.

I'm gonna aim to be kinder.
More or less took this week off of Dribble to recoup after the Chicago showcase, so not a lot of progress to show; just a few small things here and there. I did take the time, however, to animate the logo in a fun way. #screenshotsaturday
God, it's so hard these days to stay optimisitic, to hope that a mindset like this is still something that people at large will try and adopt. But I gotta keep hoping, and I'll keep exemplifying it while I can.

Trying to gauge if anyone would be interested in backing Mansion of a Million Monsters!, my cartoony zelda-like whodunnit game!

Is that you? If it is, could you click on the "notify" button on the kickstarter page below and share? Thanks!

For those wondering, showing Dribble Bounces Back at C.I.G.S. went well yesterday! Lots of people got to play, and everyone seemed to really enjoy it! To all who played and said such kind words: thank you so much!

Here's a picture of some nice folk playing during the event.
All set up with Dribble Bounces Back! at C.I.G.S. (Chicago Indie Game Expo)! (Pardon the old logo on the promo material, kinda printed that too early lol) Looking forward to people trying it! @indiecitygames.org

Big news! I realized it's gonna become important to have a better logo for future public events, so I hired @afroog.bsky.social to give the game's logo a revamp, and they knocked it out of the park! Here's both their HD version and a pixel-art version rendition by me.
Happy birthday, man! Hope it's a good one!

Hear that, #ScreenshotSaturday? Tis the siren's song of #Moonshell_Island that keeps this #indiedev sailing on. Respite won't come until I reach the destiny that calls me.

Chipping away further at level design this week, gently introducing the player to these spiked cheese balls.

Also, I'll be preoccupied at the Chicago Indie Game Showcase next weekend, so don't expect a gameplay update. Maybe some pics from the showcase instead.

Very flattering of you to say! It only seems quickly from the outside though. Been working for a year and a half and only got 2 levels fully done out of a lot more planned lol. Feels agonizingly slow from my end.
