There are so many boomers of fantasy that people swear by but I just cannot handle. They make me so uncomfy. They’re always some weird old stinky dude in a leather hat and duster you’d never want to even accidentally be at the same place at the same time with. They’re real life Moonvest.

Oh man sleep sucks so much right now. Sylvia wakes up every 3-4 hours and Violet has multiple night terrors a night. Feel like I’m an animorph but my animal is a sloth and I’m stuck at that middle of the page transformation. Got your postcard! Hopefully I can write back soon!

The original word was the Serbian Vampir, so I think it’s just fun little accents and aesthetics. Maybe because W is two Vs are like little vampire teeth so that’s cute? Maybe also partially because Vlad ruled Wallachia?

Been one of those crummy weeks where plans don’t work out, depression is going off, and the littles don’t let rest or sleep happen. Maybe some real tasty tea from @white2tea.bsky.social and The Hobbit with the kids will help turn it around.There’s less fall movies for kids than you’d expect or hope

Got to go disc golfing yesterday, go some new shoes in today that came with keychain. Had a dental procedure today. Pretty stoked even if dental work means cool drugs without the ability to have wine and cheese. Kids book club was fun and my son’s bday party is tomorrow. Good busy weeks are nice.

Disc golf shoes with a keychain! Playing in my Tigers was not the play, so some waterproof ones with cushion sounded nice. Also, dog.

This week was pretty great. Final fantasy music with my son, disc golf with an old friend, great Japanese food and AFI playing some of my favorite songs tonight with my wife for her birthday. Hell yeah.

I got to play disc golf for the first time in 20 years with one of my closest friends I hadn’t seen in forever. It was a great day. Only lost one disc (it was Halloween themed, felt like whoever found it would get a cool treat) and the King almost drowned in the moat I didn’t see but I did it!

I’m playing through it again right now, almost done with disc 3. So good. Wish it had a true HD remake. There’s some mods that upscale the backgrounds but they use AI so hard pass.

I was beyond hyped when he said he wanted to go lol. After several minutes of interrogation to make sure there wasn’t a Zelda one going on and explaining that I don’t know why there aren’t any Zelda ones going on. Kid loves Zelda, can’t blame him.

Got to take my little bud to see some Final Fantasy music! Teared up a bit at parts, he had a blast, very thankful for a good memory during this frankly abysmal month. If they don’t have a Zelda symphony soon though he might pull a Tonberry on me.
