Threw my FAFO poster on my Threadless shop with 100% of profits going to the ACLU. So send a "sympathy" card to your favorite Trump voter, wear something nice to your next protest or pass some stickers around to all your GOP neighbors' kids.

About the dumbest post I've ever seen from the Department of Education (now blocked along with the rest of the propaganda accounts).

Hey look! Your head has been under water for 30 seconds and yet your heart is still beating and your arms are still flailing. It's almost like you don't need air, eh?
Been watching a lot of videos from Americans living abroad and now seriously wondering what it would take to make the move...
I'm setting aside ticket money just in case.
Holy moly! I really enjoyed the movie, but $25 to rent is... whew!
I really can't choose between them. It's a toss-up.

Great. Now I'm hungry. Thanks! 😀
Split-pea, believe it or not.
Well, shoot. I missed this. I was wondering where everyone was last night. *sigh*
It depends on the kind of fish.

They'll also warn them by putting a seahorse head in their beds. Then they'll break out the lobster picks and crackers before dropping them in a tub of hot butter.

“Focus on the Family” kids go no contact with parents
rns.org RNS @rns.org · 4d
Many who raised kids via Dobson’s methods feel surprised or betrayed when their children limit contact; not only were they promised strong families, but because their kids acted compliant for years, they never realized there was a lack of authentic connection.

For some Dobson kids, focusing on the family led to estrangement
(RNS) — These days, Focus on the Family is offering a new kind of parenting advice, this time tailored for parents whose adult kids have gone 'no contact.'

I feel all of this.
I'm now paying for @kagi.com search after having had a good free experience.

Because we all pay, one way or another. At least this way is more honest. And I don't have to navigate around sponsored links.

This is totally why all my photos are blurry. I've just been ahead of the curve.

I had to look it up. I was pleased to see that it was indeed dog related as I suspected. But then oh hell no. 😱😹
Finally got around to watching Thunderbolts* and enjoyed the shit out of it.

Just home from an afternoon run and the yard is full of neighborhood kids.

Me: What's going on?
Kids: Hunting zombies!
Me: Right! Carry on!

kids can sure be a challenge, but when they surprise us with things like showing empathy... it's one of the few things that gives me any hope these days. you've got a good one there and that's a testament to your example. appreciate that you share those examples with us. 🫶
"Sweep"

It's a trireme and the oars are called sweeps. Just in case anyone wasn't making the connection.
