I've just discovered (albeit late) this rather lovely hardback #GraphicNovel of Dracula, published by Legendary Comics, starring Bela Lugosi.

It looks fantastic and is a wonderful homage to both the novel and the actor who became synonymous with the characterisation of the role.

Thank you, I really enjoyed it, and such a great subject. I only dipped my toes into the subject as part of another project, but soon took my interest way more than the main project.
I've been missing getting out and about on weekends, so I've been thinking about National Trust membership, in the hope I may make a bit more use of my weekends.

Weekends used to be for adventures, which I've not had for a while.

Yes, I will still be ghost hunting!
Sunday mornings (along with any other time of day) were made for Betty Davis.

Such an underrated, sexy and funky album! Although only releasing 5 albums, she remains one of the most great breaking funk artists of the 70s and 80s.

Day three, and our #Halloween #Horror 'masterpiece' is 1970s, Scream and Scream Again.

A man wakes up in hospital with his legs amputated. There's a serial killer, a fascist secret army; none of it makes sense. Mad scientist Vincent Price creates murderous superhumans. I fell asleep before the end.
Good morning, from the 3 minutes it was actually dry on my morning walk.

Today's #Halloween #Horror 'masterpiece' is the 1960 City of the Dead, aka Horror Hotel.

A student goes to research witchcraft in a small town. The hotel is run by a reincarnated witch, trying to achieve immortality.

The 'heroes' arrive for the climax, which involves a big crucifix. Everyone dies.

It's October 1st, and our #Halloween #horror countdown.

Today is the 1974 'masterpiece', The Beast Must Die.

Eight people are invited to an island by a millionaire, who thinks one of them is a werewolf and wants to hunt it. So, he chases it in a helicopter, trying to shoot it with a machine gun.

Owing to the fact that the rain from Spain mostly falls on Newport, we've had a few rainbows.

Happy birthday to An American Werewolf in London, released on 21 August 1981. Written and Directed by John Landis. Combining horror, comedy and a top-tier cast, this remains a benchmark for both werewolf films since. And, let's be honest, that transformation sequence is superb!

Congratulations Shafik!
Yes definitely! I am enjoying the weather, make sure to put plenty of Factor 50 on though, I'm a bit burned! 😳
Thanks Mick, hope you’re well?
Day off today as it’s my birthday, which brings me to Glastonbury Tor, clambering up the steep hill only to find the actual footpath once I got to the top!

Going to pop to the village next, and maybe a spot of lunch and see if the old bookshop is still here, as I think I need more books

Enjoying a spot of light reading

I’m not sure why I never brought a copy of Lovecraft’s Necromomicon before, but the shelf thought it was missing something.
