When I provided links to these extremist orgs below these FB posts, most responses were incredulous or at best completely ignorant of their existence.

And yes, this community is 99% white, affluent and 'liberal.'

The event was billed as a rally/informational event about child trafficking, but the sponsoring groups were all affiliates of Qanon and other extremist conspiracy groups with strong ties to nazis, white supremacists and extreme homophobes.

A few years back, in a small, liberal, hippie-ish town I once lived in, a couple women I was close to started posting promos for a rally from a group claiming to be (if memory serves) fundraising for Save the Children, but I recognized one of the sponsoring orgs as something else. 1/-
