Signed up for this so fast! It's exactly what I need. "All donations will go to SAFTA fellowships/residencies for trans, black and/or indigenous writers." Looking forward to this, @smokelong.bsky.social 💙

Current status: reading positive memes about Alan Rickman.
Had v similar experience with a buzzard - quite the moment, when they call and ask you to pick them up!
It's a convenient diversion from the main political issues that need to be addressed. Easier to vilify and legislate for a tiny minority of people than to address the rich-poor divide.
I don't feel threatened by trans people.
Brilliant, thanks!
So for the first year in decades, I might actually have time to write this October/November. Does anyone know if there's an alternative to NaNoWriMo?
Thanks! I started briefly, and it looked promising, but have been traveling this week. About to get stuck in properly now (admin day - my treat running on PC while I scan!)
I think I'll watch A VERY ENGLISH SCANDAL.
Any good?
My cat:
Mop / Mop
My hamster though:
Gooseberry/Goosegog/Gogpot/Goggo/The Gog.
Today, I am trying to write in a room next to two kids who are laughing so hard, they've gone silent. Now waiting for them to breathe normally again before continuing.
I may need to know what "bee-sting cake" is, now!
Watching Poly Styrene: I Am a Cliché. 💕
The Well of Loneliness is currently 49p on Kindle, in case anyone's tempted.
(Because my TBR's not big enough...)
Kids are young, not stupid - and they'll still be young and not-stupid at 18. VPNs will become the norm and new nets will be forged, while any overly-controlled internet will stagnate into an archaic, derelict clump of authoritarian parents and aged leaders who don't realise what's just happened.
