My other 2 grandparents embraced their roots but never taught their kids grandkids Italian When we would ask they stated You are Italian Americans we made sacrifices you will speak English Yet we never blended in

3 of my grandparents were Italian immigrants. 1 changed everything she could to not have Italian association. She was also a Rosie Rivitor in WWII My father didn't know he was Italian until he was in high school.
