Twins are hiring Derek Shelton as the new manager.

Shelton served as the Twins' bench coach under both Paul Molitor and Rocco Baldelli before leaving after the 2019 season to become the Pirates' manager.

Shelton had a 306-440 (.410) record during six seasons in Pittsburgh and was fired in mid-May.

My hot take is there should be *more* bandwagon fans. You want to be a diehard Pirates fan living and dying with every pitch despite the last 30+ years of near total ineptitude? Great! I’ll pay attention again if/when it’s worth it. There’s too many other things going on to care that much (for me).

In all seriousness, if you have space/it’s warm enough, you should set it up outside or as close to your door as possible so people out with their kids can watch for a minute.

I don’t care if he gets walked. Then you have the bases loaded and a ton of pressure on the pitcher and catcher. Even then, a bloop hit or an error on a sharp ground ball will score two.

My daughter is six and a half. It’s sad that for her entire life the Steelers’ best offensive weapon has been their kicker.
(I remember the night she was born. There were rumors the Steelers were going to trade AB for like the #8 pick. That didn’t happen but he was traded that offseason.)

FCS schools don’t get beat this bad. Division II schools don’t get beat this bad. This is like when someone plays one of those fake schools in Texas and it’s 73-0 at halftime and they shorten the last two quarters to five minutes each and play with a running clock.
