#MarkCarney needs to fire the tariff salvo back at #Trump by saying - "right jackass, effective immediately, #Canada is going to slap a 50% tariff on all its oil exports to the US, and a 100% tariff on ALL electricity supply to the US".

We'll see how smart Trump is then.

The @albomp.bsky.social government's proposed "environmental law reforms" are tricky, mired in ambiguity and aim to allow very "environmentally unacceptable" mining and wind farm projects to get the go ahead, but at least they are drawing a line in the sand.

One that #SussanLey is too blind to see.

The man tasked with reviewing Australia's environment laws back when the opposition leader was minister, says he is "bitterly disappointed" she is pushing back on the reforms.

The #NDIS was originally conceived for Australians who suffer from disabilities and terminal conditions in the "worst categories", and for those people it should remain fully in place.

But it desperately needs to be completely overhauled and audited because far too many "frauds" are milking it dry.

Disabled people and their advocates are exhausted and frustrated but say it’s worth fighting for a system that ‘really does change lives’

If #Zelenskyy was prepared to commit to completely ditching #Ukraine' s bid for #NATO membership and #Putin still refuses to pull the pin on #Russia 's war on Ukraine, then regardless of #Trump 's oil sanctions against Russia, Putin must be issued an ultimatum to change his tune or face ELIMINATION.

The Russian president acknowledged that the move to sanction two oil companies would have "certain consequences", but would not significantly impact the country's economy.

It's a completely "untenable position" for @chrisbowenmp.bsky.social to have to sanction the creation of #AI data centres in Australia while at the same time preaching about the need to stop coal mining and "reduce emissions" as part of his "delusional" #NetZero quest.
