Today marks the 116th birth anniversary of Dr. Homi J. Bhabha, who was born #OnThisDay in 1909. A visionary physicist, institution-builder, and founding director of TIFR, he laid the foundations of modern scientific research in India.

2/ Synaptic vesicles contain tiny chemical messengers in neurons called neurotransmitters. Before they reach their destination, they’re packed & sorted at the cell body—like loading docks before long highway trips. Amal’s thesis zoomed in on how this process works.
