Modern FNAF sucks because it has whatever the opposite of a plothole is, it feels such a weird need to make everything connect to each other that it feels convoluted and forced. "All the nightguards are the same guy actually and William Afton is back again and here's 7 books to get the basics"

Being able to explore something in real time is different than a photo imo, and while real buildings can't stand forever, data realistically can be preserved. As to your second point, it just comes down to who would be running this archive, I'd hope people who are really into architectural history
