Can I talk anybody here into donating some Photoshop skill to a good cause? I am trying to do something in both GIMP and Photo Impact and it is driving me up the WALL.
The thing I think about a lot with THE MATRIX is that it's far, FAR more likely that the machines are using humans for processing power than electrical power.
I'm sorry, WHO is coming for your guns, again? lol, the leopards weren't supposed to eat MY face!
Howdy hey, folks! The second week of SPOOKTOBER GIVEAWAY is here! Get your free copy of WIZARDS OF MASS DESTRUCTION, M-F.

I don't think this is true stuff. I am a stick in the mud this morning.

WTF, it's the afternoon already?!
THANK YOU everybody who participated, especially those who shared the LORDS OF NIGHT giveaway. We moved dozens of ebooks and even got some KU reads on other books, due to increased eyeballs on the author page.

I appreciate your time and enthusiasm and look forward to pushing an anthology next week.
... bonus influence, 'natch

For the last day of Spooktober's free ebook giveaway for LORDS OF NIGHT, here are the No Context Influences. I had wanted to make a single graphic with all of these, but my attention span has betrayed me, so here are individual pictures, instead.

First review for the new edition of LORDS OF NIGHT is in, and we are sitting at five stars, baby! Don't jinx it, don't jinx it, don't jinx it, lol
"So to start, I'm not going to lie, I didn't think this was going to be up my alley. But as the story kept progressing, my interest grew, until I literally finished the book on the couple hours plane ride to Jersey. It was the right blend of sci-fi/horror and dystopian, with some magical realism and I enjoyed the allegory nature and religious aspects of the beings. While being not from this world, they certainly took on the traits of those figures in many different religious cultures. But the book definitely followed the 'young hero' formula, which was ok, since it worked, but I almost wondered what it would have been like if one of the guys in the group was the secret hero all along.
Either way, this was fascinating and I did come to enjoy it immensely. Even recommended it to my partner!"
THIS IS A BREAKTHROUGH, it needs to be peer-reviewed
How about "some superheroes are fascist," then? I mean… you can't tell me Civil War-era Tony Stark has clean hands, here. And there's a reason so many Elseworlds Batman stories have him headed that way.

For your entertainment, I've included here the original quartet of sketches from David Seidman, who knocked this cover well out of the park.

I wish the people circling the funny bits in memes and infographics would just fuck all the way off. We'll get it without your help, thank you very much.
If you see this, post something monochromatic

According to National Security Presidential Memorandum 7, if you're reading this, you're a potential terrorist. Ha.

Fuck this guy, and fuck the machine that's built him.
Dear cover artists and layout people and editors:

When a potential customer asks you for a quote, please do not reply with "well, how much are you willing to spend?"

Few things make me nope out of a conversation faster than that.
Do I know anybody in Berlin that could do me a biiig fat favor?

Anybody who got canned because they openly disagreed with the Thief in Chief would have their post-military career gold-filigreed for as long as they were willing to speak about it.
"If you don't like what I'm saying, you can leave the room, and there goes your rank, there goes your future."

Does this dumb shit realize people have lives after the military? And how many people would line up to listen to the admiral/general who decided to "speak truth to power?"
I have been watching out the corner of my eye and trying not to jinx it, but somebody just burned through the Century books, one after another. I hope this leads to good reviews, but I'll be happy with the pages read, I guess. Ha.
