And a big part of that clampdown needs to be directed at the business owners. There was one here locally that would commonly hold permits over their heads, even forbid them visiting home so that he could go on vacation.

I got both of mine in the same arm yesterday as well, this is the first time the jab has knocked me on my ass since the first booster in 2021. My left arm and hand is basically all ache, every last joint is sore.

But I’ll take that over long covid any day of the week.

Trek in general is a good antidote to the sort of thinking on those pipelines.

But outside of that, empathy, humility and general kindness are also pretty solid protection from extremist ideologies. It’s not an unknown reason, it’s a recognition that the world is complex and people deserve care.

I always head canon it that, in a galaxy filled with people Starfleet officers are basically all charismatic geniuses with superhero levels of emotional/mental resiliency. So the senior officers are basically mental superheroes and it would make sense that they’d be front and centre most of the time

Even the whole facility was levelled and BYD (or any other manufacturer) used it as a distribution hub, it’d be a benefit over companies more interested in capitulating to the US. The economics of international production like this are going to shift massively over the next decade.

Is there a more detailed breakdown? How many of those 6500 died without a PCP, how may left the province, how may accepted a PCP that can’t meet their medical needs or that is booking 10min rush appointments 3-4 months in advance?

I don’t know much about car manufacturing but I’m willing to bet BYD could take over the Stellantis infrastructure pretty damned quickly. I’d buy one of those in an instant, especially if it’s the product of hard working Ontario autoworkers.
