The Republican Party has shown not only an inability to alienate such people but a desire to attract and mollify them. Don’t give me your tired, poor, huddled masses; it’s bring me your racist, white, aggrieved agitators. It’s not out of many one; it’s divide and conquer for the sake of power alone.

When I was 8 or 9, one of my best friends was a white kid who lived two houses down. He had a birthday party one year at his house and I was the only black kid there. His cousin attended and refused to eat the cupcakes… because “chocolate is nigger piss”. I’m the ripe age of 44. I’ve got stories.
