She was working hard to "seem" sweet and reasonable. In fact, so were the hosts. I could tell Joy Behar was yearning to tear into her. The whole thing seemed very "careful" and a tad bit staged.

Might be just me though. She has showed me too much to EVER really trust her.

I loved the descrption of the "noose" in the Gospel of Mary Magdalene. The "treasure" is not in the "rituals" but in the inner spiritual search for the connection to the devine. When I have grown spiritually, it has always been just between me and God and always circuitous.

They are often attending to punch their "stay out of hell" card which is far from the point of the gospel.

They just do not trust Grace and that misses the whole point. Unconditional love transform us.

The self righteousness need a scapegoats to make the grade.

I actually made some notecards to prep! The holidays will be interesting. I live in TN is predominate Christian Nationalist stronghold. Can't get away from them.

All the other churches in are just mute... hoping it will go away all the while wondering why their attendance is dropping.

One of the best books I have read this year. It was packed with useful and clarifying info and really made be laugh a lot.

I need to muster some grace to discuss the issue with any of them. They have so perverted the teachings of Jesus while arrogantly professing their righteousness. Sickening.

I think the problem is more centered around " organized religion".

A person's personal faith is very different and often softens folks to the needs of others.

I don't think empathy is inherent in the "dinosaur brain" of many. Just my humble take after 79 years of watching things.
