And if, for the sake of argument, Nottingham Forest or Millwall or Walsall or Doncaster don't get a licence, then what? Close them down?

I think they need to be seen off before then, and I think if you throw light on their lies day after day after day, rather than all too often buying into their narrative and banging on about small boats which are wholly irrelevant, there's a far better chance of doing it.

We've been able to talk about it for years. Labour have just been too gutless, despite the catastrophic effect on our economy, culture and general ease in which we live with one another. While Farage, Jonson & their scummy ilk were the instigators, Labour carry blame for not showing its failings.

And so by the use of plumbing, we hope to demonstrate this to the world...

The English have always been small minded, Johnny Foreigner haters. That was suppressed for years by politicians on all sides who wouldn't tolerate it. From the moment Mandelson got Brown to apologise to 'that bigoted woman', the genie was out of the bottle. If you can't see that, you're beyond help

While the next 4 years are going to be bad enough, I live in fear of the next GE in four years time. God knows what psychotic shower or coalition will be in charge after that. It's hard to see a situation where the UK doesn't descend into civil war

Meanwhile Mahmoud isn't going to pause her attacks on immigrants - including presumably Jewish ones - who have done everything lawfully to stay and contribute to this country. Verminous hypocrite.
themagicofthecup.bsky.social
Like that's going to happen.
A large chunk of the English electorate are a cancer on the country, on the UK and increasingly on the world. And I speak as somebody born, brought up and living in England.

Given Carlos Alberto's goal has been voted out - the absolute pinnacle of human artistic existence - I can't take this seriously any longer.
themagicofthecup.bsky.social
Entirely correct. People have no understanding of the climate of fear Labour's chasing of the Reform vote & Mahmood's diatribe yesterday creates. My European wife came here in 2016, finally got her ILR in 2023, now we have to wonder if that is going to be taken away. By a LABOUR government!
themagicofthecup.bsky.social
Increasingly the question for the average progressive voter is going to be 'why are they going to take votes off one another and come in fourth again?'
themagicofthecup.bsky.social
I take your point, but how can we ignore the fact that someone who benefited from that privilege now wishes to take that privilege away from someone else. That is fundamental to the argument, it IS playing the ball to point out that she, above all, should know better.

Another one of the 'up with the drawbridge' clan, following Patel, Badenoch, Braverman. Mahmoud is clearly in the wrong party - as is about 90% of the PLP.

We are about 20 minutes away from an immigration version of this. Remember how that ended?

I say it a lot, but...

All that was ever required for the 1930s to return was that enough people who lived through them, and the consequences of them, had died off. Here we are, bang on schedule.

What has Yvette Cooper’s proscription of Palestine Action done to this country?

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

It undermines police and the law.

To complete the circle of your posts, Margaret Thatcher. The old witch has been ruining the country for 46 years now. Make the experiment stop.
themagicofthecup.bsky.social
Exactly this. The calculation is that just as in '24 it was 'get the Tories out', in 29 it will be 'keep Reform out', and Labour will get the grudging win. But they won't, because four more years of this will get rid of even the voters who voted Labour last time.

A lengthy, but very necessary thread, from one of the millions of immigrants into this country, who have given more to it than any Farage, Tice, Jenrick or, yes, Starmer ever could.
Read and share widely.

When I was a teenager there was a bus direct from my hometown in Germany to London - we had a British army base, and this direct bus connection was one of the benefits of that. One summer I went on that bus to go volunteer in an old people's home in Southend-on-Sea. I had just turned 18 and was... 🧵

www.pitchpublishing.co.uk/shop/there-a... My sixth book is now available. Liverpool 2004/05, the glory and dysfunction of a campaign that brought Champions League success in the most dramatic way possible, offset by domestic difficulties, plus managerial and squad upheaval. Spread the good word.

Starmer finally calls Farage racist and immoral, and then we get this.

How many of the Farage army speak English to a high level while looking after 'are cuntry'? How many volunteer for anything (flagshagging doesn't count)?

And pay NI but don't claim benefits. What?

New tests will include learning English to a high standard, paying National Insurance and not claiming benefits.
